Default Reader's Cast: "Opening Day" by Randy Kadish

    Randy,

Absolutely great article. I'm still shivering after a day on your Croton; especially after the little dip in the river. Your "intruders" remind me of a time some yahoo, in size 14 brogans and bib overalls, came walking right down the middle of the stream loudly asking why the fish weren't biting that day. Had to go back and re-read the piece and when that happens , IMHO, means it's a "keeper!" Keep them cards and letters comin'.

Very good story. I can relate to many parts of it. Job well done.

Randy. I thoughly enjoyed your opening day yarn. Looks like the "Depot Run" on the East Branch was were it was really happening?

Thank you all for your kind comments. They mean so, so much to me, especially because I, like many writers, struggle with endless self-doubt.

To know now that I've touched people makes the grind of again and again going over the same sentences worth it.
