First 'Gill of 2011

Sorry, I forgot my camera, but I did catch the first bluegill of 2011 on my fly rod last night.

Actually, I was fishing for stocker trout in a local lake and by surprise, hooked a pretty little bluegill.

in another couple weeks, it's going to be 'game on'. Can't wait.

At least your getting some fish. Thanks to time stamps on camera phones I could go back through last years pictures and I noticed I got my first gill this date last year as well. This year?..ITS 30 DEGREES!!!!...lol, still ice on lakes and ponds. Gonna be a couple weeks up here before anything is catchable on a fly rod.
