First nymph in a long, long time

Hi,

I mostly fish dries or little midges. Trying to get some Red Fox Squirrel Nymphs ready for Spring in case........
Size 14.

Thanks. I think the only difference is that I put a nymph case over the thorax???
How do you tie them??

I tie it with a partridge hackle. Kind of like a soft hackle, but without the slim soft hackle body. It is my all time favorite nymph. I really, really like like it tied without a bead.....big thumbs up on that.

I think it fishes well in the spring as a March Brown nymph or an early season brown stone (i.e. skawala), and then fishes well all summer as a caddis. I fish it with a split show about 6 inches above the fly instead of a bead.
