Echo Carbon

Any of you have any experience with the Echo Carbon rods? Can get the 9' 5wt 4piece at a good price.

I only know the history of carbon rods and the reason they never became popular.....very high breakage. As I recall the material itself is 'heavier' than other forms used in graphite rods. All input welcome if you have some knowledge in this field *S*

I believe Carbon refers to the model name, but not the material (see http://www.rajeffsports.com/echo_carbon.php).

I've heard good things about them. I think for the money (less than $200) they are an excellent rod choice.

I have a 5 and 6 wt Carbon. They work great. Not quite as fast as the Solo when it was out.
