    Default Fishhawk variegated thread

Does anybody care to share their thoughts on how it performed? I was thinking of getting either Wood or Burgundy thread for my Tiger Eye rod. I'm going to build a 2-piece, 9', 3/4 wt.
    Thanks,
    Bruce

I have used both on the tiger eyes (sevier) blanks. I like the thread. For some reason it took a little getting used to at first (3-4 wraps) and then it was great. Here are pics of both colors you are thinking of. These are no CP added

    Wood

    Burgundy

You mean that Baitwaister and me are the only people that have heard of Fishhawk thread?

No, you're not the only ones! I fell into the Fishhawk threads pretty much by accident. I was looking for the Gudbrod variegated, and one of our supplier/sponsors suggested Fishhawk. There are a number of gorgeous color combinations, and yes, they do look pretty spectacular on a Tiger Eye blank! The Granite color one works beautifully of a gray glass blank too!

You really don't need CP on the wrap either ... the colors blend down to a really deep richness!

<sorry, I was tied up at the KCCC and hospital all day yesterday>

PS ... if you want to use some VERY good wrapping thread, in the solid colors, check out the colors available from FishHawk! They handle beautifully!

Hi Betty. What I was really interested in was the Fishhawk variegated thread. I was thinking the Wood or Burgundy colors. See Baitwaister's photos above.

    Bruce,
Right up till the PS I was talking about the variegated threads! They're beautiful! The variegations are subtle, and really pretty.
<guess my head isn't quite as clear as I though it was!>
