    Default Basalt Colorado

I just got off the phone with a friend in Basalt.
He said that since early this morning the snow has piled up to nearly waist high and is still falling. The temperature is dropping below zero and the north wind is increasing. His wife has done nothing but look through the kitchen window all day. He says that if it gets much worse, he may have to let her in.
    Happy New Year everyone!

I wouldn't let her in before she quits snarling, though.

It is a small world, someone emailed me that joke a couple of days ago and I pasted it on the thread Steve Garthwaite started about MN yesterday. Being a true son of the south I am just grateful some of you folks love that part of the country enough to live there.

Small world or the Internet. I found that joke on a Face Book posting this morning.
Waking up to temps hovering around zero, I am thinking living in the South is a GREAT idea!

    DUB,

Hmmmm! Around 0 deg - a little chilly for x-country skiing, but doable. 10 to 15 deg - gettin better. 20 deg - perfect. 25 and above - starting to get uncomfortable. 30 and above - put away skis for next year, turn on air conditioner, break out suntan lotion, get on roof and catch some rays. Oh yeah, pack up ice fishing shanty before it ends up on the bottom of the lake! Early summer has arrived! LOL!!! YMMV

    Best regards, Dave S.

Ice fishing? Isn't that a drinking sport?

    Now that's funny!!

That reminds me of the one - If your wife is locked out at the front door and your dog is locked out at the back door which one do you let in?

The dog -- He's always happy to see you
