This past year I wanted to try tube fly tying but never got around to it. Tying some tube flies are near the top of my list for this year.

2010 is the first year in 17 years that I did not participate in a swap. I plan on remedying that this coming year. I will have my eyes open for a couple wetfly/flymph swaps.
A second resolution I have been making and keeping since I cant remember, is to throw away any material I havent used in the previous year, excluding hooks, hackles, and thread. This simple task has had a couple benifits for me. It makes me think a little harder when I go to purchase a new item, and it has done wonders keeping my fly tying area clean. I came up with this resolution many years ago when my wife demanded I clean my fly tying area, and I found a Stetson hat in one of my baskets of material. I thought the hat had been stolen/thrown away by my wife years previous!
I resolve to search through my fly-tying materials to see if I can find a Stetson Hat!

My first on is TV related. I have cut out most TV watching. The next step is- I am either exercising or tying flies if the TV is on. I think I will tie more flies and watch less TV
2nd is to do more lots/ or batch tying. minimum of 6 if I am going to tie any of my standard patterns. This will not apply to experimentation or creative sessions where there are no rules.
3rd-Host at least one Flies and Pies session at my house this year. I discovered another newbee in my neighborhood so I need to get him exposed to more folks.
Happy tying
Dan
I am going to learn to tie Klinkhamers!

FAOL..All about caring, sharing, & good friends!!
I'm going to try to tie the patterns I know work in quantity instead of tieing one of each and every "latest and greatest" pattern I find on the internet.
To tye more flies. To help others when I can and to the best of my ability improve over what I've tyed in the past.
Oh!! And promote World Peace!!!
Here's hoping you all have a wonderful New Year,
