Back at 'ya Grubb. I'm thankful for our troops, who put themselves on the line every day to keep us free to work, play & worship the way we choose.
Where you go is less important than how you take the steps.

Hope all have a great & safe Thanksgiving. We'll be heading down to Columbus with pies, peanut butter fudge, & a turkey WITH my deep frying stuff so I can fry up a bird as I do every year. I don't think my relatives would let me in without the bird, fryer, & fudge!

It's good to be with family this time of year, this is our first year in 40 without our son here. He is exiled in the Island Nation of Ohio beginning on his PhD at Miami U and time, distance and finances worked against him. But I think of all the Moms and Dads who have sons and daughters wearing uniforms with stars and stripes on their shoulders around the world who are not assured of the safety of their children. I think about my brother and his family, their twin daughters are in south Asia and Spain as missionaries and the Chip Smith family from our church, their youngest son is headed to the slums of South Africa as a missionary also. Our turkey will be smaller this year, the sweet potatoes and dressing a little less but we will have much to be thankful for. We wish you and yours and all of those mentioned the greatest of Thanksgiving holidays and pray for the safety of those in the service of their country and their God.

Thanks FAOL for another year of stories, fly tying tips and swaps, and jokes and all the other cool stuff that goes on here. I've learned a lot here and made some friends and for that I'm greatful.
I'm either going to, coming from or thinking about fishing. Jim
