Loss of a friend

I am saddened to inform the members of VFB that a longtime friend to fly fisherman here in the upper midwest Tom Helgason lost his battle with cancer last Friday, November 12, 2010. The details that I have are schetchy at this time, and it is unknown if the 2011 Great Waters Fly Fishing Expo will even go on.
Tom and I were fairly close, mainly due to he allowing me to help promote the Great Waters Expo in the central Iowa area. It is with a very heavy heart that I am passing this on to the VFB members.
