    Default TFO Finesse

We shall see. I just ordered a 4pc 7'9" 5 weight TFO Finesse. I'll let you know how it works out on some Alaskan rainbows and cutts....

Anyone play with a Finesse rod yet?

    Misty,

One of the local shops is having a TFO day this weekend. A factory rep and a full line up of rods, complete with casting pool. I'm having a lok at that Finesse mysself.

I've casted the 3 weight, it's a bit slow for my taste but a fine rod otherwise. I bought the 7.5' Pro series instead. Who knows I may have to get the Finesse as well, it should make a fine bream rod. Never can have too many good rods!!

I have the TFO Pro series 4 weight. I really like it a lot. I'm relatively new to fly fishing. The four weight was my third rod and the best. My first rod came from walmart and had a cheesey Martin reel, line, backing and a video for beginners. I think it was about $50.
I just bought a Redington RS3 8 weight and I'm hoping to go soon to try some steelhead.

    I have their 7 1/2' 3 weight.

I thought something a little slower might be nice for lazy fishing the streams for trout here in SE AK.

I recently copped a 2wt pro and an 8wt pro. Can't wait to fish em. Got my 8 spooled up for steelies, walleye, and bass and my 2 is gonna be my gill buster.

Lucky Me just won a TFO Finesse Series 3 wt.right here on the FAOL monthly drawing. I haven't had an opportunity to cast it yet but I assembled and lined it and it seems to pass the " wiggle" test with flying colors. It's the first/only 3wt I've ever owned so I really don't have any idea what to expect.
And I DO realize, my post did NOTHING to answer your question but gave me an opportunity to again brag about my luck

    Hey Gary,
I must apologize for my insensitive post. I assumed because of your profile "interests" which included mountain biking, that the mtb stood for mountain bike, the "jc" part was just coincidence. I am removing foot from mouth.
