Tail, body and wing off a Canada Goose and the hackle from a dun rooster. Dyed them using yellow food coloring. Hooks a #10. Hackle is a bit big but I have never seen a blugill with a hackle gauge.

Good looking fly, Tim. Actually I think the gills prefer a little buggier looking hackle.
If it swims and eats, it'll eat a fly.
Looks great Panman...i just call 'em 'varients' when the hackle comes out longer like that.

Thanks Mr Moose.
Today was a slow one as I had to stay home with the Mrs. So I tied a few more with thicker hackle for Bluegill222.

Panman,
Very buggy! That would easily be a catcher of trout also, me thinks! Thanks for sharing.
Best Regards, Dave S.
That's a dandy too Panman...staying home, yeah i did that today too....foggy, drizzly, felt cold out there. Dragged out a flyrod build i want to finish. Might get to fish here sometime this coming week once the river drops a bit more.
Cheers,
