Last night I finally sat down and tried a classic salmon fly. Been tying winged wets for trout for a while, but the salmon flies always intimidated me. Overall, this tie certainly has its flaws, but I'm pleased with it as a first attempt.

I can't say about fly fishing but there's a lot of feed lots in Kansas.

Nice first try, golden pheasant tail and topping are good,keep at .
Now take that out and fish it.
