I can't say about fly fishing but there's a lot of feed lots in Kansas.

Wes there is no sculpting involved in anyway . The claws are porcupine quills tied to monofilement , the eyes ,antenae ,and legs are monofilement tied to the hook. the underbody is chenile. The outer body is homemade bug skin. Please do not put me in the same catagory as Andres or the other wack jobs. I tie my FLIES.
Buggy and Draggerman thanks for the comments.

Very nice Fred. So whats this about homemade bug skin? Care to elaborate on that?

The home made bug skin is the creation of my friend David Martin's . It is made by saturating a single ply of facial tissue , (like Kleenex Brand) with Dave's flexament. Lay a sheet out over some wax paper and coat with flexament . Take the sheet off the wax paper and hang it from a shelf to dry. Then you can cut and color to your needs. It has a ton of uses . My website has a step by step for an adult caddis that I use the bug skin for the wing. Works great. And yes Bass Bug those are my anchovies I did for Hatches.
Thanks for the kind words , Skip48,Quivira kid and Bass bug.
