Elk River in Tennessee....
When I was at the "East Tennessee Gathering" in Townsend I decided to stop by Little River Outfitters and just look around. I talked to Byron ( the owner) for awhile and he said that they had just received a partial order from TFO of the new this year BVK fly rods. He said that the only fly rods they have received so far, of the BVK model, was the 9' 5 weight 4 piece and 9' 8 weight 4 piece. I asked to see the 9' 5 weight and ended up in their back casting yard. Very sweet casting rod and very light and sensitive. I ended up purchasing the 9' 5 weight and took it to my local river here, Elk River below Tim's Ford Lake, and had a great afternoon. The rod really fishes well in my opinion. They generated for one hour this morning for the first time in a long time and I think it helped the river and the fish. I ended up with 24 trout to hand and had one "hook jawed" Brown of about 18". Overall, it was a great afternoon with a very fine TFO BVK fly rod and great fishing.

Fly fishing and fly tying are two things that I do, and when I am doing them, they are the only 2 things I think about. They clear my mind.
