    Default Old treasures

Found this site by accident and thought some of you might appreciate the nostalgia.

    http://www.tackletreasures.com/?page_id=55

The question is, does anyone remember actually HAVING any of these in their day?

    Cool stuff!

I have a tin of that Hewitt Line Grease although I bought it an auction many years ago.

Check with Dean. He'll have a good idea of the value of your vise.
He has bought and sold many over the years.

Also, check out his restoration of the Philbrook and Payne marbelized hard rubber plate reel on his site.
Wish I could find a couple of those!

Thank you. Bass Bug. That is one very neat site. Most of the stuff was, fortunately, even older than I am. I get all nostalgic over over anything with a Herter's label on it. Thanks again for sharing. 8T

I just got off the phone with Mr.Smith and he said mine would be worth about $35. cuz it doesnt have the original wing-nut assembly or a c-clamp.
I purchased mine at an estate auction a while back which was in a tackle box alng with many other old old things.
