    Default afternoon on Hogans pond

Temps cooled down this week and the humidity dropped so I finally got to do some fishing! It was a very nice day with a mix of bluegills and bass.

That reminds me of back home and good times. Hard to beat bluegills and largemouth in a farm pond.

You know there a cottonmouth by that jon boat, I am sure.

Temps are cooling here in Texas, too. I'm looking forward to the fish moving shallow!

My absolute, favorite kind of fly fishing location. I wish I could go back to the pond in Windham Center, Connecticut that my long-departed Uncle Ray owned. The last time I fished that pond was in May 1965. To quote the Four Season, "we've passed things and places where we were born." And, of course, "Sherry, Sherry Baby!" 8T
