    They also have a Harrah's casino to help you with that weight problem you have with your wallet.

    We ladies don't need a stinking casino to lighten our men's wallets! That's what quilt shops, and antique stores are for!

    Thanks Kaboom1 for the info on the Cherokee Fair. I found out from an uncle (not long before he passed) that I am part Cherokee (though only 1/32, not enough to be on the rolls). I would love to go see the Cherokee's crafts and art at the fair.

    Jean,

    My wife, Deb, read your reply above and agrees with you 100%!!! She also said that her great, great, and we do not know how many more great grandfather was Chief of the Cherokee Nation down around Chattanooga many, many years ago. His name was Chief John Ross. She has all this information stored somewhere and will need to dig it out. Her great grandmother on her Mom's side was part Cherokee too.

    Fly fishing and fly tying are two things that I do, and when I am doing them, they are the only 2 things I think about. They clear my mind.

    I would like to try and join you guys at least for a day of fishing if you have room for one more. I fish up there a lot and usually stay in Townsend. Beautiful area with miles and miles of great trout streams. Fished Middle Prong and Little River above Elkmont a couple of weeks ago and the fishing was stellar. I saw some questions about fly selection and would say not to worry too much about matching the hatch. Stealth and presentation far outweigh fly selection on those streams. I have been catching fish on Adams, Humpies in various colors, various Wulff patterns, etc. The fish are not typically selective up there. If you have not been to the Smokies, you are in for a real treat!

    Tim;
    There is always room for one more!!

    I see that you are about 2 1/2 hours from Townsend. Let us know when you will arrive and I'll for sure wait for you. Be sure to bring a sleeping bag just in case you decide to stay the night.

    You're only a couple of hours from the Elk River so give me a shout if you coome up that way.

    Thanks Jack. I'm going to try and get up there and meet you guys. My 8 year old will likely have a football game Saturday morning, so I'll be coming up after that. Fish Saturday afternoon/evening and Sunday morning/afternoon.

    I used to fish the Elk all the time, but haven't been up that way in years. I need to revisit that river some time. I'll sure let you know if I head that way.

    I can't wait I'm glad to see the ladies are getting together too. Its worried me that Dana and AJ may not have much to do on Saturday. We'll arrive Friday night, as soon as I can get off work and drive down, but probably after the meet and greet I think Dana will get along wonderfully with the rest of you ladies, however I do worry if AJ will be able to behave himself. I think he has too much of his Mama in him. lol I can say that now, as long as it doesn't get repeated in October. lol
