Default Two years ago not FF

2 years ago today I was blessed with the birth of my first child. She continues to amaze me every day. She sits by myside when we go fishing and gets very excited when I catch a fish. Today I gave her, her very first fishing pole. She was excited (shes always excited when she opens a present) now we begin practicing reeling and eventually casting. In a couple of weeks we will be pond side.

    Byron,
Sounds like an offer " he can't refuse" But I second the "offer".

My daughter couldn't wait any longer and just had to go fishing so i took her to this little pond after dinner. I helped her for a couple of minutes then she wanted to do it all by herself. She did have a few bites, But i wasnt paying that much attention and never got the hook set. She had fun just making the bobber bounce around in the water. She learned that watching her daddy use a popper a couple weeks ago.

I say you have a keeper there David, and a cutie at that! Now how old do they have to be for the first fly rod?

They say that women are better at casting fly rods than men. Too bad she will never be a woman, always my little girl. She is still a little young, but if she shows interest I will build her her very own fly rod. Do they make junior sized fly rods?
