I tied a bunch of Cary Specials to use on trout during the salmon fly hatch. I altered the pattern by changing the body to orange to match the salmon fly,

A couple weeks ago I tied one on as a dropper under a popper for LMB. I was quite surprised the bass were more than receptive. So far I have caught maybe a dozen bass on it with 4 of the bass 17 + inches.
