    TxBuddha,
Take a look at the Teton Tioga 2. I just bought one for my 3 weight and it's a thing of beauty!! There is another thread running about Teton's, it some E-Bay info you might want to look up if your interested.

Good answer. I already have the Tioga for my 3 wt. That CFO is just so darn light, and love that sound of the spring/pawl. (which by the way, they no longer make, so if you find one it was made by BFR)

I have an Albright reel on my TFO 6' 2wt rod. It balances very well, actually a LOT better than the higher end disc drag G. Loomis reels I tried. It holds a full WF2F + about 60-70 yards of backing. Plenty for a rod that tiny.

Maybe a dumb question, but why would you need so much backing on a 2 wt.?

    Fly Goddess,

Just in case a 5wt. rod size fish decides to hit on the 2wt. rod. Hahahaha!!!

I thought that too, but have you ever been down to your backing on a two weight and if so, how did the rod hold up? I have seen a 28" on a 1 wt. but, the fish didn't get to the backing. I also figured with 90 ft. of line, that is a lot of pressure on that small of a rod not to mention how much backing. I would think if the fish ran, so would the fisher man.

I gotta second TXBubba, On the teton reels...they make a truely awesome reel for any application/Rod wt. out there...Been well into the backing with a 36" Carp with my #2...and the rod and reel were flawless in fluidity!!!...I'll also add don't skimp on the line...you know what the cheap stuff is out there...The higher end stuff tends not to coil so much...

    Hey Fly Goddess,

How do you get a 6x tippet through the eye of a size 32 dry? Now THAT is impressive! LOL ;^)
