Charlie and Shirley Meck !!!

Many of you in the Fly Fishing and Fly Tying world know or at least have heard of Charlie Meck. Charlie is a very good friend of mine. I got off the phone with Charlie this morning. His wife, Shirley is in the hospital (again); before this was in the nursing home with rapidly failing health. Charlie told me the Doctors had to amputate Shirley's legs. She is in and out of heavy sedation, and wakes up screaming. Please keep Shirley and Charlie Meck in your prayers and thoughts. For those of you who have been blessed to meet Charlie and Shirley, you will find no greater people. Charlie is also the truest of gentleman, and a class act and legend when it comes to fly fishing and fly tying !!! His "Patriot" dry fly just recently became the official fly of "Operation Healing Waters" !!!!!!!!

Thanks for the update. I've never met Mr. Meck but I've read and reread a number of his books. I'm terribly sorry for what he and his wife are going through. Certainly they will both be in our thoughts and prayers.
