Default "Make over" for a Scott Fly Rod

I really hate doing repairs/redoing already built rods that someone else has built, but it's one of those necessary evils that you have to do I guess, so when this guy sent me a rod that he won through some contest that someone else had built I wasn't looking forward to redoing it but ya gotta do what ya gotta do. The rod itself was actually really nicely done (wraps were nice, finish was nice and its a good Scott Fly Rods blank) but the owner didn't like the grip&seat that were on it. Can't say I blame him much, the grip was really thin diameter and didn't have much shape to it and the cork seat was just not to eye pleasing. So he wanted a custom grip and Green acrylic insert with uplocking nickle silver hardware put on it.

    So here's the before............................

    And here's the After.............................

    Nice turn-around Steve.

Nice after! The before looks really cheap.
