Hardy Princess fly reel

There is one for sale on Craigs list here in K Falls. I called the guy and he said the reel was made in England, that he did'nt fly fish and thought the reel was in good shape. Price $80.00 which seemed reasonable after doing a Google.

I have two questions for you guys. 1. Can the spools be reversed? and 2. What do you think of that reel.

1) At least some of them can be reversed; I'm not 100% sure they all can be. Why don't you ask?

2) The down side is that it doesn't have a palmable rim, if that's important to you. Beyond that, I'd buy it in a minute at the price asked.

Buy it and if you don't like it sell it on ebay and make some money. Hardys go for idiot prices.

get it. I believe they are reversible & they make a wonderful purrr when you have a fish on

Those reels are easily reversed.I have one for about 27 years and its a great reel for fresh water.Most sell for twice the price you quoted.I would buy it.
