Ain't it great when a new piece of gear delights you? And ain't it even greater when you were guided to it by the folks on a board like this one? Enjoy!

    Default Wayne ....

.... since I don't have the new models ( yet ), my reference is to the older model, but the comments may well apply to the new model. If you let them dry out, they might stiffen up and seem to shrink quite a bit.

The solution is simple. Fish often enough to keep them wet.

P.S. If they do happen to dry out, just douse them with water or stick them in the crick for a couple minutes and you are good to go.
    The fish are always right.

Waynep...thanks for starting this thread! I too just ordered a pair of streamborns. Was pleased to find out that they will be shipping with the sticky rubbers and felts rather than trail lug!
    Cannot wait.
Thanks to all for your comments, helped make the decision very easy!

If you order from Korkers web site you can choose from two combinations of sole sets for your boots. From dealers, I did not find that choice. I hope you like your Streamborns! The Guide boots are very comfortable. I can't wait to get them on the river.

they are indeed bad to the bone, wayne. by far the best $$$ i've spent on boots since my top of the line irish setter hunting boots i bought on a model closeout for 60% off. and that's been a loooong time (1999). i'm still wearing those irish setters, too. and i wore them every day as work boots for 4 years straight. i expect the same service from these korker guides based on everyone else's experience among the folks i know who have had korkers for many years.
