    Default new stuff for cheap

I, in the last week have gotten some good deals considering that the currency is canadian.

    1. Shakspeare Intrepid, IM-7 graphite 8'6" rod, line rating #6
    2. Pflueger Medalist 1594 1/2 (smaller 1594)
    3. Pflueger Medalist 1594 1/2
    4. Scientic Angler Ultra 3 DT 5wt floating
    5. Cortland444 classic peach DT 6wt floating
    6. 10 small spools of maxima leader 5,6 and 10 pound tests.
    7. various mallard and other small tying materials.

All new unused for about 160 canadian, tax in and that's a whopping 15% , the lines alone are worth about 55 to 60 each plus the tax.

One of the local stores had a clearance sale to get rid of excess stock and I had been a good customer for a number of years, and landed this sweet deal, anyway I was so happy I had to share, yesterday was the opening of the winter fishing season, Inland ice fishing and Searun Brown, but, behold a vicious Nor-easter with about 50 centimeters of snow and high wind hit the area, close on 20 inches.
I was so excited about getting out today but the snow and high wind has dampened the excitement and I'm gonna have to pass on what would would have been a fun day. Now is the time when the 2 and 3 pound browns are lining the bottom of the Waterford River, all silver and fresh in from the sea.

    Mike, ...

Hey I saw that you guys are getting hammered. 60 mph wind + 18" snow, ... Pleasant!

Take heart, ... Spring WILL eventually arrive.

The truely sad part is up until this point we had really no snow to speak off.
Now on opening day, Bang, instant winter.

I really don't care much for winter fishing but the way this winter has been going pleasant and quite mild for such a northern climate, I had myself all built up to give it a whirl.

All's not lost, next weeks temperatures are expected to hit 8 to 10 degrees above zero, celcius. Then the question remains, how bad will the flooding be, It will probably postpone an outing over the course of that week as well.

Man these browns look just like the salmon when they are that fresh in, gonna have to wait a couple of weeks, I can feel it.
