    Default Pontoon Boat Wheel

Anybody use a wheel mounted on the pontoon frame to move your boat? Just wondering what some of the options are out there. The bad hip makes it a bugger to carry, so I'm looking for some other options of getting from the vehicle to the water and back again.

I've used one and it really is easy to cover some ground with your boat.
Go to a thrift shop like GoodWill and buy a kids bike. I found one at a local Goodwill store for 5 bucks (but gave them 15 for it as a donation). Strip the front fork off the bike and recycle the rest of the bike. Drill a hole in the front fork at the top to fit a clip pin through if you're using a NFO boat, and wala...you have a wheel attachment. On other brands of frames, make a small bracket out of aluminum square tube to mount to the frame to accept the wheel stem.
I gave mine a coating of Rustoleum paint and a shot if air in the tire and was ready for the water, all for about the cost of 20 bucks.

    I've been using this http://www.launchinggear.com/Launching%20Gear.htm

Not the cheapest solution but it works well.

Thanks for the responses guys. I'll look into these. The bicycle wheel is intriguing. Any one else out there with any suggestions?
