    Default Scrounge build completed!

Yup, scrounged this one up big time.

I broke a 3 weight some time ago and stripped off the handle, hook keeper and guides.

Scored the Stowaway 5 pc 4wt on Cabelas site for 19.99 with free shipping that weekend.

Used some Rattan stripped from a thrift store beach bag that I got for 1.91...you know the kind with the flowers on the handles...

Used some left over chestnut thread, left over flexcoat and then got an inexpensive reel from LL Bean using part of an x-mas gift card.

Rigged it up with a green mountain fly line I bought for 4.99 with free shipping on the Orvis site a year or so ago...not my favorite line but it works well with this set-up...already caught some fish and posted to the warm water forum!

That is a right passable scrounge job. The build ain't bad either.

Nice! The rattan grip looks great, and nice idea for getting the rattan from a bag you can't beat that.
