    Default Sally Hansen

I read on another board that they've changed the formula for Hard-as-Nails and incorporated a new scent that's a bit overpowering. My stuff is a few years old and just has the regular nail polish smell; has anyone noticed this change in the new product?

    Regards,
    Scott

Well...exactly what he said...right down to the letter...except I got 2 bottles...one clear and one black.

Not that I've noticed. Remember....there is a Sally Hensens clear, and sally Hensens hard-as-nails. They both work, but they are different.

I sure hope you were wearing your Cavalry Hat and listening to Wagner when you wrote that !

I recently discovered that if you brush a thin coat of Hard-As-Nails on feathers (such as for wings and nymph wing cases), it keeps the barbules neatly together, and is less bulky than vinyl cement. What other uses are there for it?

If you are building streamers with lots of layers like Carrie Stevens patterns you can essentially glue layers together to make assembly easy... She actually started that idea decades ago...

For presentation flies I usually use a coat of black, maybe two, and then put several coats of clear on that.

I also use different colors for Thunder Creek eyes... And for epoxy head flies.
