Default Mountain Home area flys to tie?

My brother and I are both planning on making it to the Sowbug Roundup in Mountain Home Arkansas, and we plan on getting some fishing in and some flies tied for the trip. Any recomendations for flies on the norfork would be appreciated.

Crackle backs, sows, scuds, midges (dry and nymph).

I tied a bunch of zebra midges in 18 and 20 for Norfork, and a few scuds in 16, but as for sowbugs, I figure they will be laying all over the ground at the roundup. I'll tie some cracklebacks tonight. I can not wait to be around people who know what they are doing.

    Bedlam,

Make sure you look up Denny Conrad from Conranch Hackle while your there. Denny and Ken will have a vendor space there, plus they're gonna be fishing a bit. They will both be able to give you some first hand knowledge about what's working.

Caddis have been making a small appearance on the lower stretches of the Bull Shoals Tailwaters. Zebra midges, hares ear, prince nymph.

Thanks all, I can't wait to get up there. I plan on being a sponge and learning everything I can.

Thanks Ron, I will look up Denny when I get up that way.

Since you are running out of time, I'll keep the list short:
Zebra Midges - size 18 hook, but keep the body short. In other words, a size 20 or 22 fly on a size 18 hook. You will get more hookups, and land more fish than if fishing a smaller hook.
Soft hackles - Orange and Yellow, maybe a few olive. Size 14.
Soft hackle hares ear - Size 14. Tie it weighted, or weight the leader and forget the sowbugs.
A few Wooly Buggers - size 8 or 10, black and olive.
Tan Caddis dry - If we have low water and a sunny sky for an afternoon, fish dry the last few hours before dark. Size 14 EHC and Stimulator in tan worked great last year. (I got to hold two 18-inch cut throats last year)
Look me up at the show. I'll be tying traditional dry flies Friday morning, and probably Stimulators Saturday afternoon.
    Good fishing,
    Arnie
