    Default Go blue!

This is another rod that will be making the trip to the Midwest Fly Fishing Expo with me this weekend. Blank is a Batson Forecast (Blue) 7'6" 3wt, Nickle silver BUL5 seat hardware, box elder insert, Royal Blue wraps (CP'ed) with NCP yellow trim bands and a blue Zirconia inserted stripping guide.

Wow! That is one beautiful rod. I thought the headline "Go Blue" was referring to Penn State. HA! Ha!

How do you like the Forecast blanks and what action are they?

Forecast blanks are pretty decent for the price. They are a Mod/fast rated blank which is a pretty accurate descrip, more mod with a decent crispness to them.

Add a few wraps of red ... replace the Michigan with a little JAYHAWK ... and you got yourself quite the rod!! Just teasing ... that is a beautiful, beautiful rod! Plus, my Dad was an alum of Michigan. He'd of loved it!
