    Steve: Those are nice looking flies!

    Jeff: Just FYI: the owner of my local fly shop suggested that instead of spending money on material for scud shells, just save the clear bags/packaging from fly hooks/beads/etc.. and cut whatever size you need from that material.

    Thank you for your kind comments. I don't mind spending a little to buy the scud back material. It comes in different colors and I don't have to mess with cutting plastic bags.

    I believe that also, I dont mind helping out at the local shops buying materials. It can keep them in business in this sad economy.

    Oh believe me! This local fly shop is getting plenty of business from me! (Just bought yet another new rod, reel, and line from them even though they would have been less expensive online.) Besides, the shop's owner was the person who suggested using the bags!

    I see that you're in WV, but would rather be in Ohio. I grew up in Ohio, but would rather be in WV!

    I believe in supporting local fly shops. I only wish we had a local fly shop. I'm forced to buy materials online.
