wtb or trade for Sage 389LL

I broke mine and am not interested in the replacements Sage will send, I already have a 389-5 slt which is nice, but would like to get either a 2 or 3 piece 389 or even the 4 piece Classic Series 389. Would consider the 389-3 VPS-LL. Ideally, if anyone has an unbuilt blank laying around? I could build it to suit my style.

I will buy it outright, or can trade Abel reels, Ross reels, Marryat Reels or let me know what you might want.

Sage wouldn't send you a replacement LL? They replaced my 279 LL blank last year. (granted a Graphite III version, rather than the Graphite II I had). Best of luck in your search.

And my 379 and 590 - just like the original. The 379 was factory, and the 590 a blank.

I emailed Sage last week with a couple questions

First question was about a rumor I heard that they had some LL blanks still on hand that builders could purchase.....

Secondly was that I had read a recent article where the author broke his beloved LL and Sage replaced it...my question was are they still able to do that in the event I ever broke my 379.

Their response was "We don't sell out of production items". They didn't answer my second question and I didn't bother sending a follow up. Hopefully I never break it.

Thanks for the responses received so far. I'll contact Sage and discuss alternatives, but still keep looking for a backup just in case. I was able to get a new tip for my 590 rpl--color didn't match perfectly, but I shouldn't have broke it, eh?
