Multi Color Tiger Wrap
Question for the experienced rod builders. The tiger wrap looks really really good. How does the colors go from a basic wrap to the awesome pattern it produces? I know how to do it although I never have done one. I just don't see how it produces the patterns it gets.
Optical illusion from the underwrap and overwrap being wrapped in opposite directions. The finish coat applied between the underwrap and overwrap add depth that helps trick the eye. Folks that have the knack to percieve the effect of patterns on the eye and come up with these type things amaze me.
