I see that the macrame cord comes in different thicknesses 2mm,6mm, etc. Which is the best size when making indicators?

I see you live in FDL... If you don't mind the 40 mile trek north, the Hobby Lobby in Appleton carries poly yarn (just like the fly shops) in about every color imaginable. I bought pink last week for indicator posts but I know I saw some chartreuse in there too.

Thanks. There is a Hobby Lobby in Oshkosh I will check first. If that fails the trip to Appleton will well be worth it.

Try Hareline's para post wing. it's some poly-type yarn, and it's watershed treated to float. they got your color.
you could also just dye some. shouldn't be too hard.
