Any ideas out there for displaying an antique flyrod other than the usual shadow box?
One of my bamboos hangs ,not assembled under a shelf in my tying room over my tying bench on brass hangers. Another on the wall of my den assembled in a curve with old reel line and fly. My daughter also has one hanging in her lake home the same way. I have made a oak display case that stands in a corner of a den with 3 sides glass for a friend. He has 3 unassembled rods in the case. Reels are also displayed on the side. BILL
Up at Camp Tahosa, we lined one up with an old reel and I tied a Royal Coachman Wet that we tied on a short leader and hung the whole mess on the wall in the main lodge along with an oversized replica of the patch we hand out for the Fly Fishing program, "Hooked on Tahosa". But then, with 16' ceilings we have a lot of wall space!
The rod was used at Tahosa before it was a Scout camp and was a fishing lodge about 100 years ago. The place has been a Scout Camp for 75 years.

Be careful how you live. You may be the only Bible some person ever reads.
I have a bamboo rod (a Farlow) with a Hardy reel, and line, hung on one wall of my "fishing room". The rod and reel rests on two decorative brass coat hooks that are shaped like duck's heads. There are several framed trout pictures above and on both sides of the rod.

Thanks for the ideas!
