    Default Roaring Fork River 12-29-09

A before and after of the Fork on my way home from work yesterday. The ice was pushed up on the banks 4-5 feet in some places. Had to yell at some guys fishing just below this photo, they had no idea it was coming. Amazingly cool to see happen and scary at the same time. Please be alert my friends.

Dang slush only stopped for a few hours the entire month on the Roaring Fork. I tryed to wait it out last Saturday and had to fish the Pan instead. With these cold temps there is even slush and anchor ice on the lower 6 miles of the Pan. That is unusual considering the Frying Pan is a Tail water.

Sheldon, you DID read the forecast for Aspen, right? 1 degree tonight, couple of nights in the teens, then more single digits...

Say hi to my neighbor, she is in Aspen tonight working a party, if McClure Pass didn't get her.

Thanks For the forecast Dennis. Not that I like it! I can't fish now anyway,Wifie had a bi lateral Carple tunnel surgery to today, and with two young'uns I now have 4 rear ends to keep clean for a while. Hope your friend makes some good money tonight.
