Default New Years Day On The Ford

    Hi Folks,

Looks like we will be doing it again, meeting on Rocky Ford Creek on Jan 1st. It has become quite a tradition!

We enjoy frozen guides, cold snow and great friends. We bring a bit of food, lots of warm coffee and tales to tell.

Looking forward to a fun time again!

It is a long way from CT for a cold day on the Ford. I would love to see and fish this spring some day.

I might be tempted if you promise to buy some propane for the camper and keep it warm for a place to escape the cold. Those fires you build only warm one side at a time and do not give respite from the cold wind.

Enjoy your New Year fish outing.

    Z,
Wish I could be there. Pretty sure I have to work. If not I will PM you and see about making the drive up.

    Jeff,
I got that popcorn popper. Roasting coffee shortly I hope.

I will be getting a WA license this year so keep me in mind when you guys need someone to go fishing with.

Keep in mind the WA licence starts and finishes in March, don't buy a year one for one day at the ford.

FTB it seemed strange to me when I moved here but it seems to work well, starts and ends at the beginning of spring.

Hmmmm .... right in the middle of fishing season.

P.S. Utah has another take on it - a 365 day license from the day you buy it. That's one that makes a lot of sense to me.
    The fish are always right.

Colorado runs March 1 to March 1 now, too.
