I thought I'd get this started by posting my favorite photo for last year. This is a picture I took of my fishing buddy Buzz one early morning on 'No-Tellum' spring creek.
What is your favorite for the year?
Kelly.

I have posted this one before and I can't really take to much credit for the shot. I set the camera up for my wife to take some shots of our grand daughter watching me tie. My wife composed the shot and as you can see had impecable timing. This is indeed my favorite of '09.

oh man....how can anyone pick just one?
I like this one because these hybrid sunfish are fairly colorful:
But I like this one because of the wonderful memory it evokes, and it was my biggest fish of the year/new species/biggest fish on a fly rod ever.
um...and then I liked this one "just because".

Not the best images, but they captured the moment.

I like this one.....
and this one............
and lastly........
This has to be my favorite of 2009. My son Daniel and I on some (sworn to secrecy) nameless stream in Northwest Oregon.
This pic represents so much of what '09 was about for me. New flies, new water, new friends, new home. It's not so much a favorite out of all the pics I took this year, but a summary of all of them.

The fish are always right.
