    Default For You Duck Hunters

This fly is a simple tie which uses feathers that are usually discarded. Fly is tied using one mallard breast feather. Feathers from most hen ducks would work.

That'll catch trout and bluegills, right there!

Thanks to you, I now have drake greenwing and mallard breast feathers in the freezer for similar flies. Good golly you can get a LOT of feathers off a nice mallard!

Cool looking fly!!!!!! Why would anyone throw feathers away, they all come in handy.

Fatman. Like Q Kid said a Mallard has a lot of feathers. If a person was to shoot a limit of ducks (7) in one day there could conceivably be enough feathers on those birds to last two lifetimes.

I got a heck of a deal on Mustad hooks and I figure the flies in the attached picture cost me roughly 45 cents for all of them. (Gotta brag now & then).

That's a dandy fly that I'm sure will produce!
