Default this is sort of not ff

This is not really about fly fishing. Well, sort of not.

My wife gave me an early Christmas Present a couple of weeks ago.

    Me a Christmas present.

    Me.

    MY Christmas present.

I didn't get to name her. My little boy did that, Miss Lady. So far all I have got to do is feed her, put her up in the shed, and take her to the vet.

So. I got my wife an early Christmas Present. It got here yesterday. I can't wait to borrow it from her.

    What do you think?

    hNt

PS I'm being nice to Miss Lady, I might have to room with her.

Hahahaha, I gather your wife does not fly fish!
Hahahaha, yes you will have to room with her for the next week(s?)!
Just remember that in the end you can "lend" it from your wife.
Hope you had the good fortune to buy a good rod that's worth the effort!
Hahahaha, I hope the dog sleeps inside!

I think you should have got her the 4 piece, it would be a bigger surprise when she unwrapped it.

gee, people still do that? my dad gave my mom a shotgun and he got a teapot on his next birthday.
fly fishing and baseball share a totally deceptive simplicity; that's why they can both be lifelong pursuits.

Dad's still getting it for the wood chipper he bought Mom for Mother's Day fifteen years ago

    Wink What do I think?

I think you have exceptional tastes in choosing gifts.....and if she shares your passion for fly fishing, woman as well.

If not, then you should just go ahead and order that extra large - dual doggy bed, so it'll be there for you on Christmas night.

I still hear about going fishing on Mother's Day when my ex was carrying our first. While the ex won't speak to me, I hear it through the girls. "Mom still talks about..."

She wasn't a mother, yet, for cryin' out loud!

What's this about a shed? You put that poor sweet pup in a shed, at night, all alone, in the cold, shivering? HUMPH!

We have a beagle. They are a blast. Ours is really kid friendly, and LAZY!! Although they really do love the outdoors. I am lucky to have a large area that I can let her roam free and chase rabbits during the summer.

The oldest daughter has a beagle that is a great dog. He's getting on in years, but from day one would get a toy out to play with and when he was done, or wanted to play with something else, would put his toy away in his toy box. He did this without being trained to do so, just one of his personality quirks.

I have been trying to teach the Guard Poodle to do that, but she doesn't do any better with it than the kids did when they were at home.
