    who have used premium hooks from ebay before?

    Kenstah,

    I found my hook distributor on Ebay, but now I buy from him directly. I find the hooks to be of good quality as well as inexpensive ($68/1000).

    I like that little fly. More of a 'style' than a 'pattern', I can see it in many guises.

    I like simple and it will certainly be effective on just about any waters.

    Never used the hooks. But the f fly has to be one of the most popular flies here in the uk. its used on rivers and stillwaters with great results. Watch Oliver Edwards tie it on the youtube link and give a bit of its history.

    i have bought some hooks off oh ebay and have found that i paid for wht seamed to be a greatdeal to turn out to be nothing like the discrption.

    REE - If you go to Google images and type in CDC Caddis you will get a lot of flies that look close the one you cited. Guess it don't matter what it is called as long as it catches fish.
