We had a bit on the Interstate between Missoula and Butte on the way to Idaho Wednesday, and lots in the Pioneer and Beaverhead Mountains south and west of Butte almost all the way to Idaho. Also quite a bit on the Central Mountains is Idaho. Nothing to speak of here in Missoula, but quite a bit at the higher elevations of the Bitterroots and Sapphire Mountains.

3 days ago I think....I went to bed and it had started snowing just an hour or so after dusk, but weird. Came down very very heavy like rain. Had about two inches when I went to bed... Got up and about 8 inches on my steps, top of my ice chest, and hood of my truck. Don't know how cold it got but it got pretty cold. Following night had to come home from town in the dark and truck said 19 degrees when I got home. Welcome to sunny Arizona!. I broke a canoe paddle trying to rake the snow off the hood of my truck. I got's a picture for those non believers. <grin>

Came down from hunting camp yesterday, the storm missed the West slopes of the Wind River Range. At Muddy Ridge, we got the cold, and then wind, and the humidity, which I have never been very fond of. My cousin from IN left yesterday aroung noon and has not called saying he got stopped so I guess he is okay.

I pray that no one was seriously injured or killed in all the accidents that I heard about on the radio reports, but offer my prayers for those that may have been.

For when the snow does hit here, a snowblower, self propelled, And the fun one, a plow for the atv.

We've had no snow here, but there have been rumors of frost.

My snow has melted off. Bitter cold for 3-5 days but now ok. Warm weather out now. Absolutely perfect warm weather. I should go fishing before the NEXT winter storm.
