I added a new (hopefully private) field in the user profile (Zip code).
I would like to add this info for those that WANT TO participate to eventually add a google map showing where our members live in the US.
It might be kind of cool to see groupings, and be able to arrange get togethers if you are so inclined if you find a high concentration of members in your area.
Zip code and other info is a bit sensitive however so if you don't want to participate - just ignore this post. I believe I have it set up so it is only available to sysadmins, and scripts that will anonymously map the info, but I won't be able to test it until others sign up too..
MY zip is already loaded and it looks like it's properly hidden...
If you wish..
Click the UserCP link in the menu bar.
Click Edit your details in the left menu near the top.
In the optional info dialog box at the bottom is the field.
It should take a month or so for everyone that wants to play to actually fill that in. Which gives me time to close a few miscellaneous projects and get this one up to speed. I'm hoping for a map with stick pins on the main web site. Perhaps under an events area to show concentrations of members.
