Default First steelhead on a Fly

I am very excited... I caught my first steelhead in the
Wenatchee river after work this afternoon and it was on one of my
own tied flys... WOW, the fish was a hatchery stock fish just a shade
over 23 inches long I did not weigh it. It was very exciting!

Nice fishie! On a fly you tied yourself, how cool is that? Looks like one for the barbeque. Congrats on a fine fish.

After reading some of the posts here, I am guessing that there might be some guys on this site that would like to fish with you.

Just had to put the chit on you.

Seriously now, congrats on a nice fish. Looking forward to some of those myself and very soon. (Fish that is, not the pot)

    Nice fish!

I remember catching my first great lakes steely last year. With my beginner-kit 5wt rod & reel it was a fight I'll never forget, I'm sure you've got some similar memories now too!

    Nice looking fly too, btw!

Woo hoo, that is one sweet fish. Too bad you look like you aren't enjoying the moment (ha!).

Wow, well done! I still remember my first steelie on a fly on the South Fork of the Clearwater - it is etched into my brain and will always be a fond memory.
