fly casting contest distances

Hey, somebody asked me if I could find out all the info on casting contest regulations, he wanted to know what is the distance the ring it should be from the fly caster. I know nothing about it and I was hoping you guys could help. I'm finding out for this guy who lives in Argentina (I believe)
