    Default Nasty day is good

Rain has wreaked havoc on my freshwater spots, so I launched the kayak on Bishop Harbor off Tampa Bay yesterday (9-17). It overcast, with wind out of the east.

Fish were in the shallows around mangrove islands. Had a good day. Caught six snook, 15 spotted seatrout, one redfish, a jack crevalle, mangrove snapper and a 4-pound pompano.

Hope to get back there on Monday.

I'm sure it was a blast Steve.

When you can arrange your affairs to go fishing, forget all the signs, homilies, advice and folklore. JUST GO.
