Default Fly Fishing in Boynton Beach

I am in Boynton Beach, Florida this week, and was looking for advice on where to fish in this area. I don't have access to a boat so need to wade or bank fish.

I would also consider a guide for Red fish if tis the season. Anyone familiar with this area? Are the reds biting now?

You can fish the canals for bass and panfish, all over the place. Do a quick search of the county parks too.

Cross over to the ocean on Woolbright and turn left (North) there is a cut between the inland waterway and the ocean about 1~2 miles North of that. Park on your left just before the bridge. There is a state park there. You can fish south of the inlet on the ocean side. There are swimmers there. There are the two breakwaters that are often filled with bait fishermen but the beach is generally open if you walk 50 yds. south.

About 1 hour north is the McArthur State park and there is an area there that you can wade on the inland side. (Never fished it, but have looked it over). It is very beautiful there and does not have the buildup of homes and hotels on the shore that mars the rest of that section of coastline.

About 3 hours North is Cape Canaveral and there are great flats in that area.

Let me know whjat you find. I'll be down there in about a month.

If you're willing to drive the three hours north you'll be right at the Mosqueto Lagoon. The home of the best redfish fishing in the world. A guieded trip there would ahve to be one of the best Christmas presents a body could get.
Look up the folks at "The Fly Fishermen" in Titusville right on U.S. 1 or Washington Blvd. They should be able to help with a guide.
