    a dirty port can cause mouse problems also... i had 1 that the wheel wouldnt work after a while so in all trying to git a good mouse, ended up gittin 3 more... turned out that the port i was using was a little sticky, cleaned it then the mouse worked fine...

    Looks like you have some sound advice already. When you have problems like this, go to the manufacturers website or call their support line and see if they have any idea what might be wrong. Sometimes the device drivers go faulty. Not sure why, its a computer, they are unstable machines, they rely on magnetic media to store info on the Hard drive, like all machines, they occasionally fail for no apparent reason. Feel free to drop me a note if you have any comp issues.

    That was an odd random variation for sure. It has only done that the one day for a number of hours. Never happened before or since I originally posted this thread. Happy that it hasn't come back.
