Congrat's keep it up. It is the one time that most people like a quitter.
Nice one Jack, I know it is a hard slog but it is worth it! I have been smoke free for almost 20 years now, the first couple were the hardest.
All the best.
Mike.
great job - now if I could carry your motivation over to the roll around my stomach that would be fantastic
Hang in there, the money you save is nice the improvement to you health much more important.

some empathy from another Quitter: the first hour is not good. the first day is pretty bad. the first week is no picnic. the first month is not a lot of fun.
thanks to some folks who cared, i stuck it out for the first year, and the rest is history. looks like there are just the sort of folks you might need right around here!
keep posting--you might encourage someone else...
fly fishing and baseball share a totally deceptive simplicity; that's why they can both be lifelong pursuits.
Congraduations Jack this is one endevor you will not regret.
it's been 17 yrs. since I quit an 12 yrs. since my wife quit. she wanted to save the money more than she wanted to quit, but she made it.
keep up the good work.

Jack -
That's GREAT !!
My last cigarette was at 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 12, 1989.
Only twenty years and a couple days for you to catch up. No sweat, for sure.

Hey Jack, last Thursday marked 8 weeks for me. I finally got tired of greedy politicians taking advantage of my addiction.
The first two days were like a 48 hour panic attack. but it has been surprisingly easy since then. I've only had one evening, a special occasion, that kicked off significant cravings.
Don't know abut you, but the latest tax increase took them up to about $50 a carton here. So I've already saved about $400.
Hang in there and keep going!
You folks are all just a bunch of quitters!! Me too! Going on the 4th year. Breathing is so nice, food tastes sooooo good (as can be evidenced by my belly) and not rattling when I lay down at night is really nice. Congrats to all who have kicked the habit (addiction).
