    Default Rod Storage

Curious to find out opinions on Rod Storage. Given that the rod is dry, is there any need to NOT screw the tube cap on and leave it open? Thanks Dave

It is just a fishing rod. I don't think it makes any difference. Store it with the cap on so you don't loose the cap.

On a graphite rod put the cap on the tube if the rod is dry. With a bamboo rod leave the cap off, I only put the cap on a bamboo rod while transporting it.
The man who coined the phrase "Money can't buy happiness", never bought himself a good fly rod!
